本案業主是一家專注於能源開採的企業，若依直覺推想，一間掌握先進技術的公司，其辦公場域理應充滿前衛語彙與冷冽未來感，然而眼前空間卻選擇截然不同的方向——在具有現代感的設計語彙中，團隊保留了老宅的歲月痕跡，更將其轉化為藝術語言，引人駐足、細細凝視。

The client of this project is a company specializing in energy extraction. At first glance, one might assume that a company at the forefront of advanced technology would naturally choose an office space filled with futuristic aesthetics—cutting-edge design, high-tech elements, and sleek modern forms. Yet the design preserves the traces of time left in the old house, transforming them into an artistic language.

談及設計脈絡，設計師反覆提及兩個關鍵詞：「時間的串聯」與「新舊的交融」。這兩組概念如雙軸般交織展開，為經歷時光洗禮的場域注入嶄新生命。核心語彙圍繞著垂直的挑空尺度展開，一座圓弧樓梯佇立於視覺與動線的核心，不僅柔化了剛硬結構，也以霧面金屬帶出內斂質感，如光的軌跡蜿蜒而上，引導行進節奏；當自然光傾瀉，與樓梯處的人工燈光交錯映照，深色金屬表面泛起一抹微橘紅的柔和反射，落在大理石階面上，宛如礦石，熠熠閃爍。

The designer emphasized two key phrases: "the continuity of time" and "the integration of old and new." The overall composition unfolds around a vertical void, with a curved black staircase positioned at the heart of both the visual and circulation axes. This staircase not only softens the original rigid structure but also introduces a sense of restraint and elegance through its matte metal finish. Like a stream of light, it winds upward, guiding movement and rhythm. As natural daylight pours in from above and intertwines with the artificial lighting, the dark metal surface reflects a soft, amber-red glow that dances across the marble steps, resembling the shimmer of raw minerals.

「光」的敘事語言：線性燈光俐落劃過天花，除了形成視覺的連貫，亦象徵銜接過往精神與未來之願景。另一手法則是「鏡面反射」，部分樑體經鏡面處理，不僅淡化原本的沉重感，也巧妙模糊結構與空間邊界，形塑場域的延續性與開放感。

The original textures are not hidden or polished away; rather, they are reinterpreted and extended through layered techniques. One such approach is the use of light as a storytelling element: linear lighting sweeps cleanly across the ceiling, diminishing the visual interruption caused by exposed beams and symbolizing the connection between the historical spirit and future aspirations. Another method is the use of mirrored surfaces. Certain structural elements are treated with reflective finishes, which not only reduce their visual heaviness but also blur the boundaries between form and space.

針對樓梯旁一道醒目的大樑，設計師思量：「既然無法更動，不如坦然展現？」於是，這道滿載時間印記的構造，化身為全案最具靈魂的展示。拾級而上之際，彷彿走入記憶年輪，感受時間流動。此外，團隊亦透過精準開口與適度遮擋，巧妙拿捏各區域的通透與隱私。整體色調則以黑、灰、白為主，並穿插霧面金屬、礦物塗料、混凝土石，展現理性沉穩與視覺張力的共融；其中一道牆體以編織材質包覆，使畫面更為柔和。綜覽全案，鏡面倒映的光影，伴隨著古老結構的低語，彷彿遊走於一條綿長的時間軸，讓人回望過去，體會當下，也預見未來。

Additionally, the team carefully considered the balance between transparency and privacy, using precise openings and strategic partitions to ensure both. A muted palette of black, gray, and white serves as the foundation, interwoven with textures like matte metal, mineral coatings, and concrete aggregates. One of the corridor walls is wrapped in a woven material, softening the overall visual impression and adding tactile warmth. Throughout the project, the interplay of mirrored reflections, natural light, and historic textures creates a contemplative experience—guiding visitors along an extended timeline where the past is honored, the present is embraced, and the future is quietly anticipated.
