The project is located on the northwestern mountain chain that surrounds Mexico City. Here, on the edge of a glen that marks the limit of the urban sprawl, lays our plot. This plot is steep and narrow, being 12 meters wide, 40 meters deep and with a difference of 13 meters between the lowest and the highest points of the terrain's topography. The construction is developed downwards, taking advantage of the natural slope of the terrain, so that there is only one level above the street and two below.

On the level above the sidewalk there are the bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms and TV room. The first level below the sidewalk is the ground floor, which houses the public area as well as the kitchen. Going down one more level, on the natural terrain below the living room, a central patio was built that hosts an open-air kitchen and a semi-covered pool.To cover ourselves from the neighbors we decided to build a pair of service and circulation stripes on the lateral sides of the plot. These stripes run along the natural slope on the terrain supporting the main volumes which hang in between the stripes, floating above the natural slope. These white volumes contain the main spaces of the house and open from side to side towards the ravine and the interior patios that articulate the volume-void sequence of the house. We tried to conceive the house as a series of three-dimensional spaces that are articulated in the three levels, with different heights and position according to their hierarchy and use.

Our own interpretation of Adolf Loos' idea of the Raumplan. The materiality of the house is minimal: a natural gray cement plaster on the service stripes and white stucco for the main volumes. Polished concrete on the floors and black paving stones on the courtyard. This monochromatic palette enhances the natural colors of the vegetation and the constant changes contrast between light and shadows through the day.
