佇立於新竹的老屋，靜靜橫越半世紀的光陰，見證家族的聚散與笑語，每個紋理皆乘載著記憶的溫度。屋主期望延續家族的骨架與情懷，設計團隊深受觸動，以此啟發「Timeless」為題，透過光線、材質與細節描繪時光軌跡、重新規劃空間樣貌，讓日常凝結成長存於歲月中的家庭記憶。

Located in Hsinchu, the old residence has quietly endured for more than half a century, witnessing the rhythms of family life. Every texture carries the warmth of memory. With the owner's wish to preserve both the structure and sentiment of home, the design team developed the concept of' ''Timeless.'' Through light, materials, and refined details, the design traces the marks of time and reshapes the spatial narrative, allowing everyday life to settle into lasting family memory.

基地為狹長連棟建築，原有格局因三代同堂而隔間繁複、採光受限。設計師拆除多餘牆體、重整結構，僅保留外牆與窗體，讓光線得以貫穿前後。二樓作為主要起居層，更特意將餐桌置於落地窗旁，為一日三餐搭配美好景象；夜晚則有明月般的內崁燈，溫潤點綴日常。整體動線採環形規劃，自然串聯各空間，既保有開闊感，又兼顧使用機能。拾級而上即是富有巧思的走廊空間，書房牆上的弧形挖空搭配透光玻面為內部引入採光。主臥經重新配置後擴大尺度，設置小玄關做為過渡，並以玻璃隔間連結書房導入自然光，營造明亮且層次分明的私領域。

Originally a long and narrow townhouse that housed three generations, the interior was fragmented by heavy partitions that restricted daylight. The architects removed the excess walls and reorganized the layout, keeping only the exterior shell and window openings so light can travel freely from front to back. The second floor now becomes the main living level: the dining table sits beside a full-height window, framing the day's changing views, while at night, recessed lighting casts a soft, moonlike glow. A looped circulation connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas, creating a sense of openness while maintaining functionality. Moving upstairs, a curved opening paired with translucent glass brings soft daylight into the corridor. The master suite was reconfigured with a wider layout and a small vestibule as a transitional entry, and a glass partition introduces natural light from the study, shaping a bright and layered private space.

整體色調以柔和的米杏色為基調，以木皮、塗料呈現統一調性，並在現代之中綴以復古元素。水磨石作為台灣老屋的經典記憶，被重新運用於階梯踏面與櫃體，廚房牆面則使用經典長條磚，在衛浴鋪陳的花磚更以點睛之筆詮釋懷舊氣息。此外，團隊更巧妙地於細節處設置深色鐵件層架、玻璃拉門，在溫潤語彙中勾勒俐落收束，使柔軟韻律多出幾分節奏。

A palette of warm beige and natural wood unifies the interior, balancing vintage character with contemporary clarity. Terrazzo — an iconic element of Taiwanese homes — returns on stair treads and cabinetry, while elongated retro tiles line the kitchen wall with a soft, steady rhythm. Patterned tiles in the bathroom evoke a gentle nostalgia, and dark metal shelving and glass sliding doors outline the gentle warmth with a clean, subtle cadence.

此宅的故事，始於屋主對「家」的深刻情懷，寬度設計仔細琢磨的每個細節，加上用心客製的家具，從比例、導角到材質反覆推敲，每個角落皆是設計語彙的要素。以時光情懷作為重整的養分，讓光、材質與情感在空間中交織，貼近日常所需、延伸回憶。當陽光映入空間、撫過各個材質紋理，這棟六十年的房屋也以全新姿態，為居於此屋的家人續寫生活篇章。

Rooted in the owner's deep emotional connection to the home, IE STUDIO approached every detail with care, from proportions and chamfers to material selection, with custom furniture further defining the space. Time and sentiment became the foundation for renewal. As sunlight filters through the rooms and brushes across each surface, the sixty-year-old house takes on a new life, continuing the family's story in a renewed and enduring form.
