Located just two kilometers from nearby attractions, the project occupies a key position at the southeast corner of the village crossroads. When Atelier d'More first arrived, the site lay in ruin: collapsed roofs, overgrown courtyards, and warped doors and windows. Once an unfinished B&B, the property was entrusted to the studio for a complete transformation while maintaining its original function.

Guided by their core principles of flow, connection, and extension, Atelier d'More sought to integrate geometric form with its surroundings. The original façade's disorganized mix of flat and sloped roofs created a monotonous streetscape. To redefine its image, the architects introduced a subtle forward motion to the structure. Lines extended from the entrance arch to the building's edges, forming a new framework that curves inward to create a sculptural, recessed entry. This dynamic form doubles as a canopy, blending seamlessly into the architecture. Flowing lines and endless white tones lend the building a quiet rhythm and poetic sensibility.

The layout retains much of the original framework. Two of the three rooms in the front courtyard were merged into a public area — including a lounge, dining space, reception, linen room, and restroom — while three steel-structured rooms under sloped roofs became loft-style family suites. With the central public space as its core, the two courtyards anchor the entire site. The two courtyards, which existed in the original layout, evoke a sense of inward peace. We defined the front courtyard as an open space with symmetrical and orderly structures on both sides, creating a spiritual and serene white courtyard. The rear courtyard, in contrast, is relatively enclosed, providing guests with a private outdoor retreat for relaxation. The main hall acts as the connecting medium between the two courtyards, with large, transparent floor-to-ceiling glass surfaces allowing light and views to flow through.

True to Atelier d'More's pursuit of purity, the design uses minimal materials and restrained decoration. Most elements — from exterior walls and spouts to doors, bed frames, and furniture — were digitally prefabricated and handcrafted on-site, blending architecture and craftsmanship. Only a few essential ready-made pieces were added, allowing every detail to grow naturally from the space itself and form a unified, enduring language of design.
