波蘭格利維采 Gambit倉庫與辦公空間

本案業主為專精管線配銷的企業,期望打造一座兼具辦公與倉儲功能,並可作為企業形象展示的建築。然而,設計初始便面臨以有限成本完成整體規劃的挑戰。設計團隊遂以管材作為建築概念,既呼應品牌本質,也有效降低成本。最終,辦公與倉儲被整合為一體,透過堆疊管材形式,直接傳達企業的核心領域。
Gambit, a specialist pipe distribution company, commissioned KWK Promes to design a cost-efficient office–warehouse building that could also act as a distinctive showcase. This led the design team to use the company's own material — pipes — which Gambit could provide at cost. The architects also sought a unified reading of the office and warehouse functions, resulting in a building shaped like a stack of pipes that clearly conveys the company's identity. From the street, the building forms a clear frontage; from the residential side, its fragmented volumes blend into the dispersed context.



設計靈感汲取自周邊陡坡屋頂住宅與細長建築,將原先矩形廠房轉化為新的建築形體。原預計使用的管材,因主要用於地下工程,且於紫外線照射下易氧化,故以低成本原色鋁板包覆外面。鋁板形成的自然氧化層,呈現近似混凝土的霧面質感,具耐久與低維護性,對降低營運碳排放尤為重要。量體依機能需求劃分為兩層:最高立方體為倉儲空間;斜牆量體為二樓辦公室,較低量體作為備料工作坊。管材的斜向排列決定屋頂坡度,形成獨特且唯一可行的角度。設計師切削辦公區斜屋頂,以符合當地高度法規,也避免量體過度膨脹。因此,建築從街道望去呈現簡潔現代感;自住宅區望去,其破碎層次化的語彙亦能自然融入周邊環境。
The site previously held a rectangular production hall, while the surrounding area consists of steep-roofed houses with long, cubic outbuildings — an influence visible in the building's final form. Its three main functions — warehouse, order-preparation workshop, and office area — are expressed through the massing: a two-story sloped-wall volume for offices, a lower volume for the workshop, and a taller cuboid for the unheated warehouse. The pipes' angled layout dictated the roof pitch and shaped this part of the building. To meet zoning height limits and avoid unnecessary mass, the sloping-roof office volume was cut at the second floor. Although the façade was first considered in Gambit's pipes, these underground-use materials oxidized under UV exposure and failed fire requirements. The architects instead chose raw aluminium sheeting, a proven and inexpensive material from previous KWK Promes projects such as the OUTrial House, Unikato, and Konieczny's Ark. It develops a matte, concrete-like patina, is extremely durable, and requires minimal maintenance — important given that building operations contribute up to 30% of CO₂ emissions. Pipes at the building's edges were capped to prevent wind whistling. Despite initial investor concerns about attracting wildlife, the architects opted not to install bird nets, believing the ecological benefits outweighed the risks. The investors ultimately agreed, and omitting the nets significantly reduced costs.


地面層的辦公空間設置大面開窗,面向停車場中的迷你花園;而上層的倉儲空間則設置天窗引進光線。考量建築四周主要被規劃為車輛與貨車停放區,設計師遂將員工休憩露台規劃於最低樓層的屋頂,作為緊湊工作節奏中的一方喘息空間。建築邊緣外露的管材皆加裝端封,以避免風口產生噪音,亦決定放棄安裝防鳥網,一方面減少不必要的成本,二來亦使基地成為城市中鳥類的友善棲地,為原本偏向工業用途的場域注入一絲自然生氣。
Interiors receive natural light from traditional windows and skylights. Ground-floor offices have classic glazing with views toward a small garden carved from the parking area, while upper-floor storage and auxiliary rooms—requiring flexible wall space — are lit exclusively from above. Because the building is strictly industrial and surrounded mainly by parking areas, the architects added a rooftop terrace atop the lowest volume, providing employees with an outdoor space for relaxation.
