The homeowner is a radiologist, who spends most of the day in dimly lit environments. As a result, light became the central focus of this design. Within 46 square meters, the original bathroom and kitchen functions were preserved, while offering designated areas for medical gear and daily clothing. The remaining space was opened up through a flexible layout and sliding doors, allowing natural light to flow freely throughout the home. The spatial proportions were thoughtfully balanced, with a spacious study at the heart of the design, serving multiple functions: work, rest, and even dining.

The design team picked up on his calm and harmonious personality—an observation that inspired the introduction of gentle curves throughout the space. These soft forms not only resolved layout transitions but also echoed the temperament. From the curved wall at the entrance leading into the living room to the rounded corners on the ceiling, each element embodies a quiet softness. Following these graceful lines, one is naturally guided into the open public area, where the view extends out through the windows and welcomes in generous natural daylight.

The study and living room sit adjacent to each other, separated only by a 2.5-meter sliding door that remains open most of the time, allowing light to travel freely and blurring the boundaries between zones. Without a traditional TV wall, the living area feels more expansive. Instead, the television is mounted on a matte stainless steel stand that rotates to accommodate different angles. When natural light touches its surface, the fine metallic sheen gently shimmers, reminiscent of moonlight gliding across a still surface—subtle, soft, and serene. It perfectly mirrors the quiet comfort the homeowner seeks upon returning home each day.

The owner enjoys sitting on the floor and walking barefoot. To reflect this, oak veneer was chosen as the dominant material, generously applied to the study room to bring warmth and texture. This surface doubles as a relaxed lounging platform—perfect for sitting, reclining, or lying down. The flooring features a coated finish, chosen for its warmer feel compared to stone and its satisfying, firm underfoot sensation. Like the gentle nature of moonlight, the home becomes a moonlit dwelling, where body and mind can find rest.
