This project is approximately 43 square meters. Although the site is limited, it features a 3.6-meter high ceiling and a recessed balcony. The designer used intersecting dual-axis circulation routes as the backbone of the layout. Upon entering from the foyer, the sightline extends through the dining area and kitchen island to the other balcony. To the right lies the living room, with a large window framing the outdoor views. The clear layout and open flow not only support daily living but also allow natural light to reach every corner,.

At the entrance, a high-ceilinged structure emphasizes the vertical height of the space. Considering the lack of natural light in the foyer, an LED light wrapped in acrylic simulates daylight, creating a soft and welcoming glow. In the living area, the island was slightly adjusted to open up a side walkway. A desk area was also incorporated beside the dining and kitchen zones, accommodating the need for a workspace. To reduce the visual bulk of the wooden cabinetry, a thin metal shelf was added beneath, lending a sense of lightness. Within a calm palette of earthy tones, wood veneer pairs with natural travertine and mineral paint, allowing light and shadow to dance across layered textures and materials.

Storage is often a major challenge in compact living spaces. Here, the designer employed two techniques to reduce the cabinet's visual presence. First, some cabinets are recessed into niches, with open bases and under-cabinet lighting to enhance a feeling of openness. Second, a long cabinet is built flush against the wall and painted the same color, allowing it to blend seamlessly while providing storage for large items like golf bags and suitcases. Given the good natural lighting in the public areas, the lighting plan emphasizes recessed indirect lighting, supplemented with pendant fixtures, allowing the residents to adjust ambiance as needed. At the corners, upward-facing lights help soften sharp angles and enhance spatial texture.

To address the narrow walkways on either side of the bed, the design uses a monochrome palette across the ceiling and walls to blur boundaries. Horizontal lines visually divide the walls, adding depth. A vanity is discreetly built into the side of the wardrobe at the foot of the bed, with the mirror hidden inside the cabinet.
