現代住宅空間坪數在近年來有明顯的改變，隨著家庭組成人口數的變化，加上建築及人力相關成本上升，房價居高不下，建案大坪數住宅推案數量明顯的下降，取而代之的是坪數較小更精緻的住宅。此案位於台北市都會區，距馬路僅一線之隔鬧中取靜，建築外觀層次退縮形塑簡約之美。

In recent years, rising construction costs and shifting household structures have reshaped modern housing, with compact, efficient residences increasingly replacing large units. Situated in a dense Taipei neighborhood, this project enjoys a rare balance of urban convenience and quiet. The building’s stepped façade expresses a minimalist rhythm that the interior design continues within.

設計師延續此一元素由戶外延伸至屋內，以線條為設計的架構，盒子為介質創造使用機能，在幾何面相下空間的簡約質性油然而出。入口玄關內凹處置入鞋櫃與牆面整平延伸入內，以一道鐵件格柵區分內外，除了使視覺隱約穿透，線條在光線的映照下也帶起了不同的視感。將原本書房及廚房的隔間及門移除，空間釋放到公領域，連接了客廳和書房的採光，讓空間更加的明亮開闊。行隨機能，客廳設一半高格屏，除了隱蔽管線、可掛載電視功能之外，原先不利的條件加以轉化，更區分了客廳及書房場域，同時也形成了過道，回字型動線為空間中增添了層次趣味。廚房將門移除設置短隔牆及透明拉門，遮蔽廚具並使視覺遞延，在開闔之間達到使用機能。臥室和書房立櫃體做為隔牆，一半為衣櫃一半為書櫃，收納衣物、書籍外更可收納行李箱，饒富收納機能。

The designer extends this architectural language from the exterior into the interior, using linear elements as the framework and box-like forms as functional devices. Under this geometric approach, the space naturally reveals a calm, pared-down character. At the recessed entrance, built-in shoe cabinets and a flush wall lead inward, while a metal grille subtly distinguishes interior from exterior. It offers partial transparency, and its lines cast shifting patterns as light moves across them. Removing the former study and kitchen partitions opens the public area, letting daylight flow across the living room and study to brighten the entire space.

線條的虛實、幾何的鋪陳，建構出多種樣貌及視覺景緻。光線由外透進屋內漫佈於空間之中，營造出自然環境中的質感本質，使人之於空間、生活都能感受到設計所帶來的平和、靜謐且放鬆的空間場域。

Through the interplay of lines and geometric compositions, the interior reveals varied visual expressions. Natural light flows inward and diffuses gently through the rooms, grounding the space in a calm, organic atmosphere. Here, daily life unfolds within an environment shaped by clarity, tranquility, and quiet sophistication — qualities the design aims to bring forward through its thoughtful spatial gestures.
