This project functions as both a studio and a residence. The owner envisioned a bright, minimalist space for living and hosting, alongside a distinct work area. The design team reconfigured the original layout, using light, materials, and layered spatial frames to reorganize the interior. A palette of bright, low-saturation tones works with metal, stainless steel, and Japanese Aica panels to create a clean contemporary environment with refined detailing.

At the entrance, a ''framework'' defines spatial boundaries: existing pipes and structural elements are shaped into box-like forms that mark the threshold between the foyer and kitchen. An arched ceiling becomes the visual axis of the public zone, connecting the foyer, kitchen island, half-height book wall, and display cabinetry. A linear light guides an L-shaped visual path, opening and softening the flow of space. Changes in flooring materials echo the framing strategy, naturally directing circulation toward the work area, kitchen, and display wall. The public area's gray base palette, paired with metal and stainless-steel accents, brings rhythm and depth. Each wall holds a specific focal point — iron shelving, circular lighting, or an art display — while a mirrored wall expands the sense of openness.

The private zone adopts a hotel-like calm, using warm wood tones and an enveloping frame. A notable feature is the sunken sofa alcove: by using the recess created by structural beams and columns, the designers resolved a constraint while adding spatial layering. The master bedroom and dressing area connect through a concealed door, with cabinetry that appears seamless yet hides the entry. This expresses the concept of a ''large frame enclosing smaller volumes,'' maintaining visual clarity and introducing an element of discovery. In the master bathroom, glass and lighting create a ''lightbox effect'': when the bedroom lights dim and the bathroom glows, the illuminated volume becomes a focal point. Stainless-steel details enhance the play of light and shadow across surfaces.

As both a private studio and a suite with gallery-like qualities, this residence uses layered enclosures, curved ceilings, guided lighting, concealed doors, and refined materials to create a space conducive to focused work and tranquil living. Every wall and every line contribute to a spatial composition that is clean, functional, and richly dimensional — an interior where each detail invites closer appreciation.
