座落於稀疏林地邊緣，並可遠眺郊區景致的這棟住宅，以低調盒狀立於土地之上。設計並未採取一般住宅向外開展、擁抱景觀的形式，而是使其在視覺層面上，介於建築、雕塑，或容器型態之間。本案以原始居所樣貌詮釋當代家庭生活的脈絡，重新定義空間的使用與意義。

Situated near a sparse forest overlooking the suburbs of Nicosia, the house presents itself in a deliberately ambiguous manner. Rather than adopting a conventional residential typology that opens outward to capture panoramic views, it rises as an austere, introverted box— simultaneously building, sculpture, and container. The project reinterprets the primordial dwelling-box through a contemporary lens, questioning how this archetype can respond to modern domestic life while maintaining a strong, self-contained presence within its landscape.

設計始於一組由點陣構成的三維網格，將房子構想成一個平面尺度為14×17公尺的盒體。以清水混凝土構築整體結構與空間。隨著自然地景條件逐步被納入考量，量體透過有序的削減與挖空方式進行拆解，形成由實體與空隙交織而成的稜柱狀結構。外部以四道高約六公尺的垂直牆體包覆量體，牆面厚實而具雕塑感，宛如一塊原始巨石。牆面上的垂直切口調節內外之間的距離，於遮蔽與開放中取得平衡，並將其轉化為家庭日常生活的一部分，回應著森林、城市與天空等自然環境條件。入口設於東側立面，一道垂直狹縫作為由外而內的轉換節點。

The design originates from a three-dimensional grid defining a simple 14 × 17 metre volume. Gradually, fragments of the surrounding landscape infiltrate the box, initiating a controlled process of erosion that generates a prismatic composition of solids and voids. Four sixmetre-high perimeter walls wrap around the fragmented volumes, holding them within a coherent yet fluid whole. Carved with vertical cuts, these walls mediate between interior and exterior—filtering, protecting, framing, and selectively revealing views toward the forest, the city, and the sky. Morphologically, the house reads as a cube nested within a cube: an austere, perforated shell encased within another.

穿越入口後，迎來一處開放式庭園作為家庭生活的空間聚點，庭院、通道與留白空隙沿著量體漸延展，在行走與轉折之間，光線自上方灑落，植栽貼近牆面生長，增添日常的自然感知。室內空間沿著戶外格局而設計，公私領域分布於不同高度之間：一樓配置廚房、餐廳與起居空間，作為主要活動場域；上層則為私領域，以過渡空間串聯公私機能，場域間不以明確分界劃分，而是隨著用途自然轉換。

Entry is marked by a vertical slit on the east façade, emphasizing the transition from the outside world to an inner realm. This leads to an open yet sheltered central garden that becomes the spatial and experiential heart of the house. Part of a continuous network of courtyards, passages, and outdoor rooms that surround the built mass both vertically and horizontally, the garden is planted with local vegetation and filled with natural light from above, forming an interior landscape embedded within the broader environment.

步上通往屋頂平台的樓梯後，即可看見大面積覆土與植栽，為量體創造出獨特的微氣候條件，開闊視線更將地中海湛藍天空盡收眼底。平台一側設置水平開口，框取森林與遠方山脈的景致，為居者提供能夠盡享景觀的角落。隨著時間推移，植栽逐漸攀附其上，原本沉靜而強烈的量體輪廓被柔化，人、建築與自然之間的關係，也在日常往來中持續升溫。

Internally, the house unfolds across four levels, each closely tied to the surrounding outdoor spaces. Public functions—kitchen, dining, and living areas—occupy the ground floor, while private rooms are arranged above across staggered planes, connected by intermediate spaces that soften the boundary between public and private life. A concealed external stair leads to a planted rooftop terrace, where the architecture dissolves into the Mediterranean sky. Constructed entirely of exposed concrete, the monolithic structure gradually softens as vegetation climbs its surfaces, establishing an ongoing dialogue between architecture, human activity, and nature.
