中國大理　東南村8號

位於大理、麗江之間的沙溪古鎮，至今已有兩千餘年歷史，是茶馬古道上最重要的商業往來集散地，也是馬隊必經的城鎮。本案即誕生於此地，是傳統村落中新建的現代建築。設計團隊規劃四座房舍圍起一個內庭院，各房舍內部各有天井；在外觀上，房舍特徵各異，可上人屋頂分別由礫石、木板鋪就，提供居者遠眺自然景觀的平台，可觀察天際線與地平線四時變化，傾斜的瓦頂及低矮的棚屋承襲當地建築群特點，讓案件得以融入環境，卻又因幾何元素的屋頂設計獨樹一幟，視線能隨之延伸至遠方。

Located between Dali and Lijiang, Shaxi Ancient Town has a history of more than 2,000 years. Once an important commercial hub along the Ancient Tea Horse Road, it was a key stopover for traveling caravans. The project emerged from this historic setting as a distinctive work of contemporary architecture within the traditional village. Four houses are arranged around a central courtyard, each containing its own inner courtyard. Their accessible roofs, finished with gravel or timber planks, provide elevated platforms overlooking the landscape. Sloping tiled roofs and low-slung sheds echo the local architectural language, allowing the project to blend into its surroundings, while geometric roof forms frame distant views.

設計團隊期待人們「認識宇宙先於認識家和房子，認識地平線先於認識安家之處。」書塔和日晷塔與天空相連，頂端不設玻璃，立面邊界富有彈性，並與相鄰建築的內部功能、居住體驗完全相連，使得案件不僅能在屋頂處連結人與自然，也能在量體內部串聯生活空間，確保生活節奏綿延而有序。主要量體由結構柱、壁爐、煙囪組成，面向日光、村莊、寺廟、山谷盆地中的河流，向著環境打開了內裡，開闊的視覺氛圍迎來自在的日常場景。細節之處，以居住者的需求為核心考量，運用屋簷與門窗的搭配，模糊室內外空間界線，公共空間的門窗皆無下方軌道，僅以吊軌發揮隱藏、摺疊功能，讓設施能簡便地滑動開闔，隨著天氣調整進光強度，避免直射，讓充足的陰影與之達成平衡。

The design team sought to encourage people to "know the universe before knowing the home and the house, and know the horizon before knowing where to settle." A book tower and sundial tower establish visual connections with the sky. Open at the top, they create fluid boundaries while linking adjacent buildings with everyday living spaces. The main volumes are defined by structural columns, fireplaces, and chimneys, opening toward the sunlight, village, temples, and rivers in the surrounding valley. This creates expansive views and a relaxed rhythm of daily life. Residents' needs form the basis of the design, with eaves, doors, and windows blurring the boundaries between indoors and out. Communal doors and windows use concealed overhead tracks, allowing them to slide and fold away easily. This enables residents to adjust daylight according to weather conditions, reducing direct sunlight while maintaining a comfortable balance of light and shade.

本案建造時邀請當地村民一同進行協作。村民木匠運用歷史悠久的技藝，將沙溪盛產的木料現場製作為室內外木門窗、室內木飾面，甚至是混凝土木模板，為細部的平面及立體形態帶來莫大助益。瓦匠出身的村民著手裝修石灰飾面和黃泥飾面；石匠砌築和鋪貼本地石材；焊工製作充滿巧思的金屬構件，盡顯古鎮優異的工匠手藝，表現出現代建築的優雅風格，會通古今美學。

During construction, local villagers were invited to collaborate on the project, bringing their traditional craftsmanship and knowledge into the design process. Local carpenters used generations-old techniques to transform Shaxi’s abundant timber into interior and exterior doors and windows, wood finishes, and even concrete formwork, enriching the project’s detailed spatial and three-dimensional forms. Villagers with masonry backgrounds applied lime and earthen finishes, while local stoneworkers laid locally sourced stone. Welders crafted thoughtful metal elements, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the historic town. Together, these traditional skills lend the contemporary architecture an elegant character, creating a dialogue between past and present aesthetics.
